Museum Re-Opened on 18th July 2020

We had been working hard to ensure the museum was ready for reopening and have put the required COVID 19 safety measures in place, to ensure our visitors, staff and volunteers are kept safe.

We have understandably had to change the way in which we operate and must make you aware of the following procedures now in place.

. We ask that all visitors adhere to 2 Metre social distancing, including on arrival to the museum.

. We ask that all visitors follow the one-way system, which has been put in place.

. We ask that all visitors use the provided hand sanitiser when entering the museum. Additional hand sanitiser dispensers have been positioned throughout the museum and gloves are available for use also.

. Visitor details (name & contact number) must be given when entering the museum for Track and Trace purposes. The details collected will be deleted after 21 days.

Currently there is no to need book, but you may have to queue at busy times.

. We ask that all visitors use the pencils provided with erasers, to activate the information kiosks (rather than fingers). The pencils should be taken from the museum or discarded into the bins at the museum exit.

. We will only be accepting Card payments at this time.

. We have limited the number of vehicles that visitors are able to get on board (Fire Engine, Pope Mobile and Double Decker Bus)

. We ask Visitors using the lorry simulator to wipe down the steering wheel, controls and seat before and after use.

. Toilets will be open with controlled access
